Turn Back to Move Forward
In this talk I will present major events that have led to my professional development, from growing up in Marcianise, a small town in La Terra dei Fuochi, to becoming a professor at Virginia Tech, a major research university in the United States. I will share key decisions and pivotal experiences that have shaped my career and have led to my current research focus on the mechanics of the female pelvic floor. As I move forward with my goal to improve the quality of life of many women, I strive to remember the valuable lessons I have learned from my past.
